The Bricks Strike Back
The Bricks Strike Back: A Galactic Takeover of Snakes and Lattes
When we decide to show off our latest commissions, we don't just put them on tables; we create an experience. We believe that art, fandom, and community belong together. That’s why, for our massive Star Wars LEGO® unveil, there was only one venue in Toronto that made sense: the iconic Snakes and Lattes.
What happens when you mix thousands of retro board games, artisanal coffee, and millions of LEGO bricks depicting the galaxy’s greatest saga? Pure, nostalgic magic.

Our Retro Arcade LEGO® Takeover
High Scores & High Neon: Our Retro Arcade LEGO® Takeover
If there is one thing that perfectly overlaps with the love of building complex LEGO® sculptures, it's the deep, undeniable nostalgia of classic video games. We wanted to celebrate that intersection. So, for our latest pop-up showcase, we bypassed the traditional galleries and headed straight for the glowing screens and ringing bells of the retro arcade bar.
We packed up our most vibrant, ambitious, game-inspired commissions and set up shop right in the middle of the flashing pinball machines and vintage cabinets.

Birthday Party Build Challenge
Classic Bricks, Epic Heights: How We Engineered the Ultimate Adult LEGO® Birthday Challenge
When Sarah approached us to help plan her 30th birthday, she had one specific request: "I don’t want a normal, boring dinner party. I want something creative, high-energy, and ideally, something that makes my friends fiercely competitive."
Our answer was immediate: The Ultimate LEGO® Tower Challenge.
At [Your Company Name], we specialize in elevating private events beyond the expected, and there is nothing quite like watching fully grown adults rediscover their inner child, especially when engineering glory is on the line.
We transformed a stunning industrial loft space (complete with exposed brick and warm, twinkling string lights) into a high-stakes construction zone. A giant 'Happy 30th Birthday, Sarah!' banner hung prominently, setting the stage.
The Challenge: Pure Construction, No Gimmicks
We believe the best competitions have simple rules. The brief for this private 30th bash was clear:
Teams: 4 people.
Time: 30 minutes on the clock.
The Objective: Build the tallest stable tower.
The Constraints (The Real Test): Use only classic, primary-color 2x4 and 2x2 bricks. No specialized plates, no Technic support beams, no fancy window pieces. Just raw, nostalgic engineering.
We set up six identical stations, each loaded with overflowing clear bins of classic red, blue, green, and yellow bricks. The moment the clock started, the loft exploded with energy.
Strategy meets Nostalgia (And a Bit of Chaos)
We’ve hosted many events, but the intensity of this 30-minute block was next level. Watching these diverse teams of adults interact was fascinating. Every group approached the problem differently.
One team spent their first five minutes purely sorting bricks by color, a strategy that had them scrambling later as the clock wound down. Another team (which included the birthday girl herself!) took the "build fast, ask questions later" approach, creating an enormous, wobbly, three-foot base that required immediate crisis management.
We saw high-stakes strategy sessions, frantic brick dumping, and moment of sheer, focused panic.
The Final Countdown: Stability vs. Speed
As the main digital timer hit the 10-minute mark, the tension in the room was palpable. Multiple towers were rising over five feet high, creating a temporary, colorful "skyline" across the tables.
This is where the engineering got tricky. The taller the tower, the more crucial the "interlocking" strategy became. We captured amazing moments of teammates holding the wobbly bases steady with white-knuckled grips, while another teammate, standing on their tiptoes, delicately placed a green 2x2 brick on the very peak.
When the large clock hit "00:00 - TIME'S UP!" and we shouted "Pencils Down," the room was a mix of triumph and humorous collapse.
One tower fell exactly as time was called, leaving its team to stare in disbelief at a colorful pile of bricks on the floor. But the winning tower—a stable, chaotic masterpiece of classic blue and red—stood miraculously high at just over six feet.
Building More Than Just Towers
By the time the final measurements were taken, everyone was laughing, high-fiving, and immediate "rematch" discussions began.
This LEGO® challenge wasn't just a fun activity; it was the ultimate icebreaker and team-building exercise disguised as a 30th birthday party. It leveled the playing field, tapped into nostalgic creativity, and generated massive amounts of collaborative joy (and competitive stress!).
Sarah’s 30th wasn't just another dinner; it was an unforgettable experience.

Brick & Brews
Brick & Brews: Unveiling Our Latest Commissions at The Brass Taps, Toronto
We’ve always believed that art shouldn't just be confined to quiet, sterile galleries. Sometimes, it needs to be out in the wild, surrounded by good conversation, great music, and excellent craft beer.
That was the exact inspiration behind our latest pop-up event: Beer and Builds.
Last weekend, we packed up our studio and took over The Brass Taps in the heart of downtown Toronto to unveil our newest large-scale LEGO® commissions. The result was an unforgettable night where the worlds of childhood nostalgia and sophisticated artistry collided.
